Neil has over 25 years of experience in facades and renewables with in the built environment. He has worked for some of the world’s leading building-envelope providers across Europe and the Middle East. For the past decade, Neil has been based in the Middle East and worked in a consultative role with major contractors on projects including King Abdul Aziz international Airport, Abu Dhabi International Airport, Al Maktoum International Airport, Dubai Frame and more recently One Za’abeel. Since launching a new façade product for Kingspan (Formerly Rigidal Industries) in 2009, Neil has become an integral part of the Dubai facade industry and is well know amongst contractors, consultants and clients across the region. Neil’s experience of solar in the built environment dates back to early 2001 where he worked for the Schuco architectural team in London. Since then, Neil has witnessed first-hand the evolution of solar technologies in the built environment. The Qi-energy business founded by Neil, in response to the 2015 Clean Energy Strategy, is a Dubai based SME. The business was established with the specific goal of developing regional integration of 2nd generation thin-film technologies into mobile and building applications.
