Rachid Bayed has been Masen’s Power Plants and Infrastructure Director since 2011. He is responsible for the Group’s energy production projects operationalization, and for the development and implementation of infrastructure projects related to electricity generation and other cornerstones of Masen’s integrated approach. Surrounded by his team of engineers and project managers, he directs the engineering, construction and commissioning stages of energy facilities in order to deliver installations that meet international standards and the highest performance levels. He is also in charge of the rollout of applied and pre-operational R&D projects backed by industrial projects.
In addition to these responsibilities, Rachid BAYED was entrusted with the launch and coordination of Masen Services, a group subsidiary responsible for managing, operating and maintaining the infrastructure needed to build energy facilities.
Before joining Masen, Rachid BAYED worked in the water and energy sector in Morocco and in France, for groups such as Vinci and Schneider Electric.
Rachid BAYED is an electrical engineer who graduated from Mohammadia School of Engineering. He also holds a master’s degree in industrial systems and innovation management from Centrale Supélec in Paris to which he recently added an Executive MBA from ESCP Europe in partnership with Cornell University in New York.
His appetite for challenge and action, combined with a desire to return to Morocco, led him to join Masen.
