Why is The Big 5 Solar called The Big 5?

 Back in 1979 a construction exhibition was launched in Dubai and it represented the five biggest sectors of the construction industry:

  •          Building
  •          Water technology & environment
  •          Air conditioning & refrigeration
  •          Cleaning & Maintenance
  •          Glass & Metal

The show has since expanded and today we have launched The Big 5 Solar. Dedicated in providing solar solutions to meet construction needs.


What are the exhibition timings?

11:00 to 19:00 on 26-29 November 2017.

What is the fee to visit exhibition?

Entry to The Big 5 Solar exhibition is absolutely free of cost. No entry fee is required to be paid.

What is the fee to attend CPD certified workshops, seminars and other conferences?

Entry to all workshops is absolutely free. The Global Solar Leaders' Summit will have various packages to attend as a delegate.

What is the exhibition venue?

Which gate do I use to enter exhibition centre?

Enter from Zabeel Hall 6 access.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes, parking is available at the venue for cars and two-wheelers at a nominal fee. This is very close to Zabeel Hall 6.

How do I reach the exhibition centre?

There are many ways of traveling to the Dubai World Trade Centre. You can use following modes of transportation:

  • Taxi / Radio Cab: Easily available from domestic and international airports, they follow meters and produce receipts as well.
  • Metro: The nearest metro station is the Dubai World Trade Center metro station, from there its a 10 minute walk through the main exhibition gate to Zabeel Hall 4.

Is there accommodation close to the exhibition?

I need a visa to travel to the show, can you help?

Unfortunately The Big 5 Solar team is unable to assist visitors with their visas, but please get in touch with our travel partners for assistance.

What is the procedure of visiting?

We encourage you to pre-register online as a visitor before coming to the show. Alternatively, you can register when you arrive at the exhibition venue by filling up visitor registration form. Please ensure to carry your business cards or student ID at the show.

I am having problems registering.

Please note that your registration may not have been completed if you used an info@ e-mail ID. The system will not accept generic e-mail ID, so please register with a unique e-mail ID to receive your badge number for The Big 5 Solar.

I have registered but have not received my confirmation e-mail. What shall I do?

Try checking your junk e-mail folder. If you are still unable to recover, please write to to retrieve your confirmation e-mail.

The e-mail address I used to register is no longer valid / I no longer have access to it. What shall I do?

You must register again with an e-mail address that you can access.

Can I invite my colleagues or friends who might be interested in visiting?

Of course! Please feel free to invite your industry colleagues or friends to visit The Big 5 Solar exhibition.

I don’t have an invitation card. Can I still attend?

Yes, all professionals and students related to solar and construction are welcome to visit exhibition and attend workshops. You only need to carry your business card or student ID while attending the exhibition.

What should I do when I arrive at the show?

If you have pre-registered as a visitor, go to ‘Pre-Registered Visitor’ counter and show a printed copy of your e-mail confirmation at the registration area to collect your badge.

If you have not registered in advance, fill up visitor registration form and submit at counters to receive your badge.

What areas can I access with visitor badge?

  • Trade visitor badge gives you free access to show entire floor and all concurrent workshops and seminars all three days.
  • Platinum club membership gives you free access to the platinum club lounge, show entire floor and all concurrent workshops and seminars all three days.
  • VIP gives you free access to the VIP lounge, show entire floor and all concurrent workshops and seminars all three days.
  • Press badge gives you free access to the press lounge, show entire floor and all concurrent workshops and seminars all three days.

What if I fail to bring my visitor registration confirmation proof at the show?

We encourage you to bring a printed copy of your e-mail confirmation (of your visitor registration) at the show. The confirmation e-mail will carry your badge which allows you access to exhibition. In case you fail to get the same, contact our staff at ‘Pre-registered Visitor’ desk to help you in printing your badge.

Can I bring my family to the exhibition?

Minors under 18 years of age are not admitted to the exhibition. This is a health and safety policy and it is strictly enforced.

How much does it cost to exhibit at The Big 5 Solar?

Cost of exhibiting depends on the stand location, size and type of stand. Click here to enquire about exhibiting.

How many exhibitors are at the show?

There will be close to 100 exhibitors at the show representing various countries. 

What is the cost of the Show Guide/Exhibition Directory?

Show guide is available only on-site to all visitors and will be absolutely free of cost. 

Where can I collect my CPD Certificate?

You may collect your certificate on the days that the educational session was held. Certificates will not be available for collection after the event.

I want to be a speaker at the educational session.

Is there any left-luggage service at the show?

You can deposit your bags at the Left-Luggage counter when arriving at registration area. This is a complimentary service for our domestic and international visitors. High security arrangements have been made to ensure safety of your luggage. However, we advise you to carry along any valuables like laptop or any electronic devices to avoid any possible theft or loss. Please note the organisers will not be held responsible for any theft or loss at the event.
